This is my first recipe post! I never thought I’d be doing this but here I am! It’s like this new space I’m trying and it’s definitely exciting!

Afterall, sharing is always good right?

This recipe is my mother (in law), Savita Singh’s home recipe and it’s absolutely different and exciting than the regular chicken curry recipes around.

Let’s also say, me publishing this recipe here is a way I show I care about my mother’s recipe crafted with so much love!

Now let’s just get down to the recipe. (Pardon me with a regular look and not a fancy recipe card below)

Things you need :
1kg chicken
500gm onion finely chopped
Spices : 6 cloves 6 Pods of Cardamom, 10-12 Peppercorn, 1 Cinnamon stick, 2 bay leaves
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
4-5 cut pieces of raw mango
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
Salt to taste

How to :
• In a heated wok add oil
• Once the oil is hot, add the spices and onions
• After the onions turn golden add ginger garlic paste
• Add all the powdered spices and chicken to the wok and toss until chicken pieces are coated well
• After about 5-8 min of covered cooking, add water and mix it all well.
• Cover cook for about 25 min over medium- low flame with occasional stirring
• Once the chicken is cooked well, add the raw mango and cover cook in loose gravy for about 15 min

I always garnish this recipe with finely chopped green chillies for an extra punch.

This one’s amazing to go with long grain rice pulao or with plain steamed rice.

Im ending this post on the note that, food is love. And when you talk of love, it always reminds you of home. I hope you feel that love when you relish this!

I wish you a happy meal!
